The Mothers Day Gift:
Sherrie's Letter
"I just finished reading your Book, "Wealthy Soul." I cannot properly express
how it touched my soul. Now I have to re-read it so I can better understand
and be able to apply the various steps to my hectic life. I believe that I
also received a special gift of patience, understanding faith and unconditional
love while I "helped" my mother through life threatening bouts of cancer. When
my mother finally passed I took comfort in the knowledge that I did everything
I possibly could. But most of all, that I repeatedly told her how much I loved her.
Your book awakened the memory of what it was like to experience the giving and
receiving of love in its purest state. I believe that I have Finally made a
breakthrough with my therapist concerning my loveless 30 year old marriage. I
truly now believe that I am worthy of receiving love from others.
Thank you for being my angel and sharing the wisdom contained in your book.
I was especially touched by you taking the time to autograph the book."
-- Gratefully yours
Sherrie Taylor

The Mothers Day Gift:
S.W.'s Letter
"Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful story! I wanted to thank you for the
chapter featuring your encounter with Kostos. It was *very* timely! Yesterday I
had a big fight with my mother over something I was thinking about doing that
she felt wasn't in my best interest. We spent the past day and a half not
speaking to each other. After reading Kostos' advice, I realized that my mother
acted out of love and concern. I decided at that moment that I would talk to Mom
and make up with her.
Barely a couple of minutes after making that decision, Mom came downstairs to
where I was. As soon as she came within a few feet of me, I immediately told her
that I was sorry for the way things had escalated between us. She said she was
sorry too, and emphasized that she always wanted what was best for me. In turn,
I acknowledged her fear that I was going to do something she saw as potentially
harmful. We spent the next 15-20 minutes talking about her concerns. I also told
her that I had thought about what she said and decided not to act on my original
intent (at least for now--but I didn't tell her that ;-) I love Kostos' admonition
not to say anything until after the fact. Works for me!
Your admonition to reach out to my father also hit home. My parents split when I
was very young, and I've never had a good relationship with my father. In fact,
most of the time I avoid interacting with him as much as possible. The last time
I talked to him, I had agreed to get together with him to celebrate a speech
contest I had done very well in. That was almost two months ago. Kostos' words
made me see that my father really does love me, even if he's not able to express
it well. I still feel apprehensive about contacting him, but I'm going to try
connecting with him.
Thanks again for your inspiring message. It came to me right when I needed it!"
